History/Overview
The Audi A6 Allroad is a new model for 2020. Building on the A6 wagon, it sports a raised ride height and other styling cues meant to evoke a crossover SUV. The A6 Allroad becomes Audi’s second such model, after the smaller A4 Allroad.
Available Trims
Audi offers the A6 Allroad in Progressiv and Technik trim levels. Both use a 3.0L turbo mild hybrid V6, a seven-speed automatic transmission and the brand’s Quattro AWD system.
Standard Features
Among the A6 Allroad Progressiv’s exterior features are 19-inch tires on aluminum wheels, heated/power-folding/auto-dimming side mirrors, passive keyless entry, adaptive air suspension, HD matrix LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and taillights, and roof rails.
Inside, Audi includes a power-adjustable steering column, selectable drive modes, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated/leather-trimmed steering wheel, eight-way power front seats with four-way driver lumbar, heated front and rear seats, leather upholstery, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, integrated garage door remote, ambient lighting, ash wood interior trim, an artificial leather dash covering, and a first aid kit. The infotainment system comprises Audi connect navigation, Bluetooth, a smartphone interface, and a colour digital gauge cluster.
Finally, standard safety features include rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, Audi connect safety and security, city-speed forward collision and pedestrian monitoring with automatic braking, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, and exit assist.
Technik trim adds 20-inch tires and wheels, a power tailgate, lighted door sills, a head-up display, manual side sun shades, ventilated front seats, power door closers, four-way front passenger lumbar, four-zone climate control, air ionizer and fragrance dispenser, upgraded navigation system and gauge cluster, a premium stereo, Amazon Alexa integration, loose wheel detection, headlight washers, adaptive windshield wipers, and 360-degree exterior camera views.
Key Options
Both trims can add a driver assistance package of traffic sign recognition, active lane assist, active cruise control, turn assist, predictive efficiency and traffic congestion assists, and emergency assist.
Technik can be further augmented with a contour seat package that includes 14-way front seats, Valcona leather seating plus a full leather interior, massage function, passenger seat memory, and aluminum pedals.

Audi’s fuel consumption estimates for the A6 Allroad are 11.8/9.1 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
The A6 Allroad’s closest competitor is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon. Through 2019, Volvo offered direct competition in the V90 Cross Country, but as of this writing, the Swedish brand hasn’t confirmed whether that model will return for 2020.
